Vintage Nanna

My grandmother has the best house. A house that is furnished with objects that were thought of before Ikea even existed. The furniture is solid carved wood, with quality woven fabric. The walls are covered in damask wallpaper to match the furniture. The 1980's television never gets turned on because she doesn't like TV. She is the keeper of vintage and I think that is just fantastic.Too much of today is throw away and products are made too cheaply and with inferior materials. My grandmother owns just one piece of modern technology and that is the electronic photo frame in front of the television.

Insects

All the rains we have had recently seem to have bought on an influx of insects. We have ants doing laps of our house in their search for water and food. The ones below found a speck of some tasty morsel to devour. They were like this for two days.

There are quite a few of these dragonfly's that land on my clothes line and don't move. They are all happy for me to get quite close to them to be able to take a photo.

There is a tree outside our bedroom window that has just started to grow rather pretty white and pink flowers. They start out as a round ball like coocoon and slowly unfold into a large delicate flower.
