Easter part 2

One of my favourite treats is dehydrated pineapple. It is a healthy snack that is easy to make and has self regulated portions (if you eat too much you mouth starts to hurt-reabsorbing the water from your body). I used to make it quite often but I have started to run out of time. It usually takes about 8 hours for the pineapple to dry completely but it lasts for months.

Anyway, my lovely sister made me some for Easter as a substitute for chocolate, which I was incredibly grateful for. If you haven't seen dehydrated pineapple before this is what it looks like. They are also sometimes called pineapple chips. If you have a food dehydrator, go and find yourself a nice fresh ready to eat pineapple. Then chop off the skin and slice the pineapple into 5mm strips and lay them on each level of the dehydrator to dry. 8 hrs later PRESTO yummy snack.
